Reality

By Mike Huckabee

What A Concept! After four years of spinning fake news and anti-Trump fantasies, even the leftist media are finally being forced to belatedly acknowledge reality. It’s hard to believe, but "MSNBC Live" host Stephanie Ruhle interrupted the deranged, anti-Trump Inaugural-related rantings of Lincoln Project flamethrower Steve Schmidt to point out an inconvenient truth about Biden’s Inaugural gathering and all those troops crammed in with no social distancing:

“…Let’s be honest, you know if President Trump did this, he would be getting crushed for holding a super-spreader event. We’d all be saying it."

I never thought I would hear something like that on MSNBC. Then again, I also never thought I’d hear the phrase “Let’s be honest” on MSNBC.

"Huckabee" Preview

By Mike Huckabee

After a week like this, I know you could use a new episode of “Huckabee” on TBN, and we have a great one for you tonight. I’ll discuss the latest DC developments with an endangered species: rational, Constitution-respecting Democrat, Tulsi Gabbard. We’ll get some thoughts on the coming Senate impeachment farce from Rudy Giuliani. Author and viral video star Carlos Whitaker will talk about his inspiring new book. Actor/country star John Schneider will give us a sneak peek at his great new movie inspired by his love of one of my all-time favorites, “Smokey and the Bandit.” And we’ll have music, and a very special salute to a heroic US military veteran, from country star Tim Atwood.

We get eastbound and down, starting tonight at 8 and 11 EST, 7 and 10 CST, and Sunday at 9 EST/8 CST, on TBN. To find out how you can watch TBN, from local cable and broadcast channels to streaming, visit https://www.huckabee.tv and click on “Channel Finder” on the top menu. "Nothing We Can Do"

By Mike Huckabee

Throughout the COVID-19 (Chinese) coronavirus pandemic (and yes, I will continue reminding everyone where it came from), Democrats and the media blamed President Trump for every new case and every death attributed to the virus. He was personally responsible because he “didn’t listen to the scientists” (even though the scientists repeatedly contradicted their own advice.) They never explained how it could be spreading and killing people even worse in nations where Trump wasn’t President; they simply blamed him, not the fact that just like every other very contagious and deadly virus in history, it was bound to spread and kill people.

His political rival Joe Biden was especially harsh in heaping blame on Trump, even dehumanizing him by claiming he didn’t care that people died. He and his supporters mocked Trump for saying that a vaccine would be available before the end of 2020 (when it was, Biden and Kamala Harris were among the first to get it, and never thanked Trump or admitted they were wrong.) Biden insisted, despite his previous record of slow-footed failure with the swine flu pandemic, that he could have stopped the virus; that Trump had no plan, but he had a comprehensive action plan to “crush” the virus. He promised that with him in office, Americans would soon be able to go back to the movies or out to dinner with friends.

Well, voters took him at his word. So where’s that plan to crush the virus?

Er, about that…Turns out there is no plan, other than continuing to do pretty much what Trump was already doing. This is another perfect example of my prediction that his biggest obstacle would not be Republicans, but reality. Reality: viruses don’t give a fig about your campaign promises. They just keep on virusing until they’re killed off by herd immunity or vaccines.

Friday, in a staggering flip-flop, now-President Biden finally admitted, “There is nothing we can do to change the trajectory of the pandemic in the next several months."

That’s reality. His supporters are throwing out the usual feeble excuse: “Trump messed things up so badly that it will take Biden a long time to turn things around!” But that’s not what Biden said, was it? He told you he had a comprehensive plan to crush the virus, and soon. That was a lie. He did not have such a plan. Because – reality again – nobody has. Here’s that late-breaking nod to reality summed up in six words: “Before Election Day/After Election Day.”

It would also have been reality for Biden to have made that exact same statement at any time in 2020, but it wouldn’t have helped him win the election. Most Americans took as many precautions as they could, short of hiding out in their basements 24/7 (not everyone can be Joe Biden), many lost their jobs and businesses in endlessly shut-down blue states, but still, the virus spread like…well, like a virus.

Studies found no discernible difference between virus spread in shut-down and non-shutdown areas. Trump created an unprecedented public-private partnership to develop the vaccine in record time, but that still takes time. There is no “Dr. Biden’s Magic Bullet” to eliminate the coronavirus. But there are now multiple vaccines in use and on the way.

Will Biden ever acknowledge reality completely and thank Donald Trump for that?

RIP, Hank Aaron and Larry King

By Pat Reeder, “Huckabee” pop culture guru (http://www.facebook.com/hollywoodhifibook)

America is mourning the loss of two icons in their respected fields, baseball great Hank Aaron and legendary broadcaster Larry King.

Larry King passed away early Saturday morning at 87 at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. No cause of death was given, but he had been moved into the ICU with COVID-19 on New Year’s Eve, although he was reportedly improving in recent days.

King began his 63-year broadcast career as a radio DJ and interviewer in 1957, where he would set up in a Miami restaurant and interview whoever walked in the door. He would go on to interview every newsmaker of his era, from criminals to world leaders. He also wrote books and a newspaper column, and seemingly invincible, survived lung cancer, Type 2 diabetes, multiple heart attacks, quintuple bypass surgery, and most famously, eight marriages to seven different women.

King revealed that the secret of his interviews was lack of research. He felt that interviewing subjects without knowing too much about them in advance made the conversation more natural and more relatable to listeners, since he would be asking the same questions they might ask. It sounds odd, and it sometimes led to some hilariously out-of-left-field moments, but it was always entertaining.

Hank Aaron’s family also reported Friday that the baseball legend had died at 86 of undisclosed causes.

Aaron was a giant from the era before baseball’s steroid scandals and political controversies. He started in the Negro Leagues in 1951, then played in the Major Leagues from 1954 to 1976. He hit more than 40 home runs during eight seasons, played in 25 All-Star Games, and still holds the all-time RBI record with 2,297.

The greatest moment of his career came on April 8, 1974, while playing for the Atlanta Braves, when he became the first player to break Babe Ruth’s record by hitting his 715th career home run (he would later retire as MLB’s all-time home run leader with 755.) That 715th home run was a milestone event not just for sports, but for US history, pop culture and race relations, with a crowd in Georgia giving a roaring standing ovation to a black player for breaking the record of a white baseball icon.

Aaron was also a sports hero who lived up to his image as an idol to American youth, and was famous for his decency, humility, business success and major philanthropic work.

A Good Dog Story

By Mike Huckabee

As you know, I love a good dog story, and this is a real “good dog” story. Russell Jones of London, England, injured himself, and he’s been hobbling around on crutches with a plaster cast on his leg. He noticed that his lurcher dog Bill, who was walking with him, was limping and holding up one front leg (see video at the link.)

Concerned, he took Bill to the vet clinic. After $400 worth of X-rays and other tests, the vets could find nothing wrong with him. They concluded that Bill was limping because he was copying his master out of sympathy with him.

Bill is not only a great dog, he’s now a social media star after the video of him faking a limp alongside his master went viral and has been viewed over 2 million times.

"Nothing We Can Do" If Biden ever really had a plan to stop the Chinese COVID Virus and withheld a genuine plan to stop the virus it would have been inhuman to withhold the plan until after his election. As it turns out it's just one more political broken promise that created false hope for so many people. Not a good way to start office.

I got my COVID vaccination and it was well planned, well organized and I was so impressed. Don’t say President had no plan. Everything was planned.
I thank President Trump. He was doing what was best for America.
Just what President Biden has done already will hurt America. Losing jobs will hurt families.

I wanted to point out that Hank Aaron got the COVID-19 vaccine 18 days ago and now he is dead. That is why it is being reported as unknown causes.

SAY, HERE IS A 'NOVEL' IDEA: ALL THE 'HOUSE REPUBLICANS' AND 'SENATE' REPUBLICANS' HOLD AN IMPEACHMENT ON BIDEN AND HARRIS.
THEY 'ALTER' THE 'RULES' TO 'FIT THEIR FANCY' AND FOLLOW THROUGH....DO THE SAME, 'FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE'.....GET BUSY 'REPUBLICANS' BEFORE YOU ARE 'DISAPPEARED' BY VOTERS.

Interesting to read that the World Health Organization, that Trump pulled us out of to save $400M, is now saying the covid tests being cycled at 40X is producing too many false positives and back tracking on their recommendations. Now that Biden is in they are requesting we rejoin and watch how fast the numbers come down as soon as we are supporting them again.
